A look at some of the characters that I have played through SW:KotOR...

Starbuck

Starbuck was my third character overall, and very similar to my first character (also a light side Scout 8/Sentinel 12); but, Starbuck was created after I had some more experience developing a character and is a bit stronger. This character sheet was capped during the final battle with Malak and all his stims have worn off. With stims, he has 360 max vitality, 34 defense (38 with Master Speed) and another +3 to damage and attack. He has the Dueling and Flurry feats and mostly defensive force powers. Using Master Speed and Destroy Droid, he was able to destroy all Malak's captive Jedi immediately and only had to fight Malak twice. Still, he had to run away a lot to heal and re-buff himself. However, Malak was the only opponent to give him any trouble. He cut through everything else like butter, due to his modified Wisdom score that makes it much more difficult to save against his force powers. Starbuck was my first male character and followed the romance plot with Bastila. (Not that you actually get anywhere with it...)

Rina Chan

Rina was my second character and my first (and, thus far only, dark side character). I don't really like playing dark side, but I did want to explore the differences. There really aren't any significant differences in the game; the biggest change being the movie at the end...If I were to do the Soldier/Guardian character again (not my favorite due to the limited force points), I would probably add the Implant feats so I could use the higher level implants (there's one that adds 4 points to CON, which is equal to 40 vitality at 20th level). I would probably also take more Jedi levels by not levelling on Taris. Rina use Critical Strike (and then Improved and Master) a lot to quickly take enemies down. During the fight with Malak, she used Drain Life to suck the captive Jedi for her own benfit and than smacked Malak around a little bit. She also favored Force Storm and Kill for offensive force powers.

Ashton Leigh

Ashton was my "Jedi Janissary" character (build description coming soon...) Basically, a Jedi that relies on his Force Powers and uses a hand cannon as backup. :) A lot of fun to play and could handle himself OK when playing solo, as seen here buffed up for his fight with Malak. That final fight was a bit of trouble because I hadn't adequately prepared for it in terms of choosing appropriate force powers. I didn't have either Force Suppression or Breach nor did I have Force Resistance or Immunity. But, Force Wave worked well enough to keep him off balance, and he couldn't deflect all my blaster fire, and each one he didn't deflect hurt--a lot. Combined with Plague to pull down his stats, he went down after only the second battle. Throughout most of the game, Ashton used Fear/Horror/Insanity to freeze enemies before blasting them into oneness with the Force. With his boosted Wisdom and Charisma, this even worked on terentateks and rancors. It's fun to watch force-resistant beasties writhe in confusion while you gun them down...
