The Ravager is the capital starship commanded by one of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II's game's key characters, the masked Sith Lord Darth Nihilus. It does not play a very large part in the game, but it has a striking appearance due to the fact that its hull has been blasted open in several places, having been in the final battle between the Galactic Republic (Star Wars) and Mandalorians on Malachor V. However, the ship and its cadaverous crew are able to function due to the strong dark side Force aura exuded by its evil master Darth Nihilus, who hauled it from the ship graveyard orbiting the war-torn planet Malachor V. Its constituent pieces are held together by the dark side of the Force by Darth Nihilus on the vast command bridge.

During the Mandalorian Wars, the Ravager served in the Galactic Republic fleet and, as many vessels of its type, was an escort cruiser for the capital ships. During the final battle above the skies on Malachor V, it was assigned as protection for the Leviathan, which explains why Carth Onasi recognises it during the game. The Ravager actually dwarfed the Leviathan by a considerable margin, and it is unclear why Revan chose the smaller vessel as his flagship.

These vessels were originally very common in the Republic fleet since the Great Sith War, but battle after battle they proved to be quite useless against the fire power of the heaviest Mandalorian cruisers.

No ship of Ravager-type managed to survive to the last battle, and after the end of the war the Galactic Republic decided to build these cruisers no longer.
