Sarlas: "Okay... here we are. The moon is over there."
Phara: "Looks... colorful."
Sarlas: "I'll set out some scanners for anything coming in."
Phara: "I feel something coming in."
Sarlas: "Yeah, I feel it too."
"Why do you think that something that happened to me years ago or someone in my past will help us now. Just becuase I-" She closes her mouth, but doesn't hide. Dark emotions flare up. Pain, death, hate, anger... but then a flicker of light: love. She watches Vector carefully and her walls begin to crumble.
"I- I might know somone... who could help us... I mean, if he's still alive." The dark emotions fade as her true feelings become clear, but then she closes up. Her walls block her emotions and her secrets once more. She glares up at Vector. "I'll tell you what you want to know, Vector, but I don't want you... prying around in my mind trying to find answers."
Jester: (Looks at Atrox)
Jester: Where are we going?
Sarlas: "I'm setting the automatic adjusting sensers around the hull."
Phara: (Gets infront of him) "What was that back there?"
Sarlas: "What was--"
Phara: "You passing out! That doesn't normally happen, y'know."
Sarlas: "It's nothing you need to worry about - I'm just feeling lightheaded about heading out into space with one of the suits."
Phara: (Sits back, unconvinced)
(looks back at jester while he walking off the ship)
" Only cratus knows."
(Plants a Bomb)
(walks back to the ship)
"Fortunately for us, the Jedi know the Score's Eagle's transponder codes." Cratus said as he and Zhoe caught their breath from the force jump onto the ship.
"How is that fortunate?" Zhoe asked him as Shi'Ki hushed the frantic younglings and brought them to the cargo hold for some food.
"Because we can set a fake trail. They might think we're headed to Korriban to learn secrets like we did before, so if we send a small transponder pole with our Jedi-known transponder codes to the Korriban system, we can lead them off our tail. But since the Jedi might think we're doing this, we can send out multiple poles to different well-known dark side places. Right now, we should set course for Anchorhead, Tatooine." Cratus explained. "There we will help Czerka and gain their support for our cause. But right now, I'm gonna go get the transponder poles ready, so set course Tatooine."
"But aren't there a lot of Jedi missionaries on Tatooine?" Shi'Ki asked as he entered from the cargo hold.
"Yes, a lot of young, tired, and rebellious Jedi missionaries." Cratus said as he left to the poles.
"On a trained Jedi like you? I'm not that foolish; no mind tricks or anything. But your eyes... i've known you long enough to read your eyes like a book."
Continues to look at Sara. "You're angry, but not at me. ......alright, tell me about this person you know."
She smiles faintly. "I consider 'reading my eyes like a book' to be prying." She holds Vector's stare. "His name is Rane Soral. He's a... well, you can't call him a Sith anymore, but he's not a Jedi... an outcast I guess. He, um, well he helped me out of a really bad situation I was in a few years back. At that time he was had great potenial as a Sith so his Master said." Her dark emotions raged as she said the word Master but above all hate reigned supreme. Pure hatred.
Vector: "Alright. Where can we find him?"
She closes her eyes, searching. "He's on..." She opens her eyes. "Ziost."
Vector "Alright, I'll alter the coordinates." Vector begins entering the coordinates into the nav computer.
Without looking at her, Vector says, "I'm sorry that I upset you. It wasn't my intention."
Sara sighs. "Don't worry about it. I feel like this... I hurt every day... I just hide under that mask the Masters taught us to use so well."
Vector continues working. "Maybe that's the problem. The Masters always teach us to hide what we feel, mask emotions... But since those emotions are never expressed, they always remain; we never get over them."
Sighs. "The wounds never heal; maybe that's the real path to the darkside...."
Sara frowns faintly. "What the Masters think is perventing someone from falling may just be exactly what causes them to fall."
Vector gets up from the console. "You're right. There are some who fall for other reasons, but now i believe that's one reason the Jedi are so easily tempted."
Looks at Sara "Maybe talking about our feelings is the real answer to resisting the darkside. And i don't mean just for you."
She doesn't look up at him. "No one unders why I am... like this. The only person I ever shared my whole life's story with was my first Master... I told him everything but he didn't critize me like I expected him too."
Vector walks into the main hold area, saying as he leaves, "Maybe you're expecting the wrong things. We aren't all out to condemn you."
Sara watches him leave but doesn't say anything. Maybe he's right... maybe he's wrong she thinks to herself.
Vector walks into Yi'shar's room.
"There's been a slight change of plans, Yi'shar. We're going to find one of Sara's friends first. He's on Ziost; he might be able to help us find out what's going on with these Sith rumors."
Yi'shar looks slightly confused. "Who is this person"
Vector shakes his head. "I'm not entirely sure. He was both a Sith and a Jedi formerly, now he is apparently neither. But his knowledge may prove useful."
Yi'shar looks at Vector, "Master, far be it from me to question your decissions, but why are we traveling with this woman? The Masters don't trust her; they say her past is too troubled to make her a worthy Jedi."
Vector turns to Yi'shar frowning. "The Jedi have made many mistakes in the past, Yi'shar. The gravest is this; they distrust one of their own, fearing their fall to the darkside, and by shunning them ensure that fate. That cannot be the way; we must show others trust and acceptance."
"Besides, it is more than that. I've known her for many years, Yi'shar, and I've come to care for her greatly, perhaps even in a way that the Masters would forbid. But she's hurting deeply, and i want to help her."
Yi'shar nods, "I've felt her pain also. I'm not sure I understand everything that you're saying, but i'll rely on your judgement, master."
"Thank you Yi'shar"
Sarlas looks back at Phara,"Ever feel like a tool? Like your being used along with other people for something? Then just thrown away when your dull?" Phara replies with a bit of thinking,"I never really looked at stuff like that... but yes, we seem to be tools of something... something big... some of us never realise it... and some of us just expect that."
Sarlas comes over to the console and presses several buttons.
Sarlas states,"I guess we can't change what we are used for... our purpose, can we?" "That's just something you'll have to find out for yourself." Phara replies back.
