some of the parts are on Nar Shadda at different shops i think. the side quests are good for XP, credits, items, and lightside/darkside points, but if you're in a hurry to get through the game they aren't necessary. Later on in KOTOR I there are some side quests involving the members of your team. those are really good quests, so be sure to keep talking to your party members every time you level up so you can get those.

ah yeah i always talk to my party members^^ but i didnt do a side quest on taris the one with bountyhunting

right. there are actually three of those bounty quests that you can use to get lightside points. like you can either fake the person's death or pay off the bounty or something to help the people. B) the Rakghoul serum quest was one of the best side quests, cause you used the serum for three different things.

ya, i don't know why they made you get darkside points for that. they didn't give darkside points when i took out that assassin chic and got the bounty. hmmmmmm..............weird

did you have much trouble with him? i took on Duncan, Gerlon, and Ice pretty easy in the dueling ring, but i waited til i had leveled up a good bit before i messed with the rest of them.

haha like me i had noch chance against the above of ice at my current level after lvling up and new upgraded weapons i liked totally killed them with losing no life

nice. it took me a while to get them last time, cause once i got to lvl 5 i didn't do any more level ups until i got to Dantooine. that way i got to level up my force powers more. but it was tough fighting some of those guys when you're stuck on level 5. lol B)
