logan: (slowly sits up) where am i?
diamond: (walks over and hugs him) the hospital...
logan: what happened?
diamond: the woman- starr- attacked you, and knocked you unconscious. several of your bones and organs were in disarray. you slipped into a coma for two weeks... (smiles) until now.
logan: (smiles back)
diamond: unfortunately, they have struck more than once in your absence.
logan: i don't doubt it.
Doctor: (looks at Diamond)
I'll be back to check on him later.
(leaves)
logan: (sighs) that b**ch is quite the handful. in fact all of them are.
(a nurse enters the room)
Nurse: Sir, there's someone here that wants to see you.
logan: send them in.
Nurse: (nods)
(leaves)
Cad: (walks in, limping heavily)
(his left eye has lost color, suggesting he's now blind in that eye)
(the crutch which he leans on heavily, supports the right side of his body and the limp shows much pain in his right leg)
(scars and wounds, both seen and unseen, prove he was serverly beaten, more so than you)
logan: i thought you were dead...
Cad: (pained chuckle)
I did too...
(sits down)
You look like you're doing all right.
logan: yeah, and you look beautiful yourself.
Cad: (smiles)
At least they didn't break your spirit.
logan: nothing ever will.

Cad: (sighs)

Meanwhile

Doctor: (reading a datapad at his desk)
(he is approached by a cloaked woman)
Woman: Well?
Doctor: (looks up)
He's going to be fine, now... I'm sure he'll be thankful that you saved him.
Woman: I think not.
Doctor: Do you want me to-
Woman: (interrupts him)
Don't... I don't want anyone to know I was here. Understand?
Doctor: I understand.
Woman: Good.
(leaves)
...
Meanwhile, back in Logan's hospital room
...
(a disturbance is sensed through the Force)
It's getting good.
logan: (looks around sharply)
diamond: i felt it too. what was that?
logan: i don't know, but whatever it was, it was strong.
Cad: What was what?
Doctor: (comes back into the room)
hmmmmm.
logan: doctor.
