If the make KOTOR 3 then you should start from where KOTOR 2 ended where you are leaving Malachor V.

KOTOR1 with updated graphics and more abilities (force powers, gameplay, etc.)
Completely redo KOTOR2
Release KOTOR3 all in one trilogy.

One thing that pissed me off about KOTOR 2 was that they cut out going to the HK Factory but left in everything that HK tells you about the HK Factory.
