Re: Star Forge Robes

Damn that is a lot of horses

Re: Star Forge Robes

Yep... most of them are wild, just roaming around until we need them. About a hundred are only saddle and bridle broken, they've been sold and are being shipped off to be used as rodeo horses. About another fifty are fully broken, and are used around us, mostly for personal use and as workers.

Re: Star Forge Robes

My uncle and me both own 2 horses and we have a farm together and have around 300 cows that we rase and sell. That is the reason I am on here at night because we have around 150 cows that are getting ready to have cavs and that's when the work will begin.

Re: Star Forge Robes

Really? We've got a bunch of mares ready to foal... starting to bring them in this week so the cats won't get to the foals.

Re: Star Forge Robes

Yeah I know what you are talking about because after the cows give birth I have to set outside all night and gaurd them from coyotes. I walk around the fence rolls with my 22 and I have a 9mim in case my 22 gets knocked out of my hand. Then after the first two nights the cavs can move around just fine and keep up with it's mother. I love working on the farm and I would not change it for the world.

Neither would I.

Re: Star Forge Robes

It is good to meet someone else who loves to work around on the farm.

Re: Star Forge Robes

so politically speaking, you all are democratic republicans.

I am neither

Re: Star Forge Robes

200 years ago it was one party with two names. andrew jackson made it split, forming the democratic party. later, around 2-5 years before the civil war, the whigs (political party who opposed jackson's policy) split in two. most southern whigs joined the democrats. the northerners united and formed the republican party.

question: (to both of you) if it were up to you, how would you run the economy? by farming, or manufacturing?

Re: Star Forge Robes

I'm a Republican.

Answer: Farming.

Re: Star Forge Robes

then you are a democratic republican.

i on the other hand am a federalist. i believe in manufacturing.

Re: Star Forge Robes

I say farming because without farmer their would not be a economy. 1 farmer feeds about 200 families from the cattle they raise to the crops they grow. Manufacturing is good but anymore we get everything from other countries so if something happens and we lose our manufacturing in the usa then we would still be fine but if we lose the farmers of the usa then our economy would pretty much end and the country would go from being top dog to just another pup fighting for a bone.

Re: Star Forge Robes

why oh why did i know both of you would be  democratic republicans?

Re: Star Forge Robes

What would give you that idea? big_smile  lol  lol  lol  lol

Re: Star Forge Robes

this is no laughing matter, and let me tell you why.

200 years ago, the majority of the democratic republicans supported farming. farmers and their supporters (the democratic republicans) supported slavery.

you two support farming which supports slavery ultimately.

coincidence? as a black man, i most certainly hope so.

Re: Star Forge Robes

 Whoa, whoa, whoa! I am so against slavery! Almost every man in my family is a pastor so we are taught that every one is equal.

My great-great-grandfather (God rest his soul) was a pastor and inherited our land just before the Civil War and let all our "slaves" go.

So there.

And, oh yeah, the world's oil supply is going to run out in about fifty years so...
