Sounds awesome, Is it better then Dragon Age?
Better story, better quests, a lot better side quests, and you actually need a horse in this game. In Dragon Age i almost never used it. Graphics are better, the map is bigger and exploration is not as dull as in DA:I.
Some people may not like that you cannot customize your character (apart from his armor and hair) but It didn't bother me cause Geralt (main character) is awesome.
Overall I think Witcher III is GOTY.
First off I did not know that you can have and use a horse in DA I.
Is Witcher III better then DA III?
Shortest answer: It is.
Damn, Now I really want to play the game.
This discussion is making me want to play it too.

But this pretty much describes me, I like to have a bit of control over who my character is when playing RPGs.
Yeah I know. But the story is so awesome you won't mind that. At least I didn't.
Who makes the Witcher games?
It's made by a Polish production house "CD Projekt Red"
I don't think I have ever heard of them before, Do they make any other games that I may of heard of them?
No they only made The Witcher games.
Oh, Then I say that with these games being so big they will make a lot more games in the future.
Should you play the first two games before this one, or would it be still as good to pick up the storyline and everyone from starting at the third one?
You can start from the third one, the story is great. But you may find difficult to understand some character relations. Still I wouldn't know. Since I played both games and even read the books. The game rewards that with little details that you otherwise may overlook.
But anyway I would recommend that you at least play the second game (the first one has a boring combat system but a little better story than the second) And the third one blows away both games in all compartments.
What type of party members do you have and what classes can you be?
It's not like dragon age. You are a Witcher, you go alone to hunt monsters.
As for classes. They are not classes really more like 3 different trees for developing your character: Alchemist, Mage and Swordmaster.
It's not like dragon age. You are a Witcher, you go alone to hunt monsters.
Do you at least have other characters you get to know?
Because one of the bug-bears I had about KoA: Reckoning was that you're pretty much alone throughout and you don't really get to know any other characters at all. There's like two or three recurring characters that you only ever encounter when you do the main storyline (which isn't a whole lot of the game) and everyone else is a "hi, I have this problem, please help. ... thanks, bye!" and after however many hours I've put into that game, it takes away a sense of involvement. Or maybe that's just me or the particular way it's done in that game.

Yes, there is an abundance of characters you meet. There are romance options. And you even have allies who help you from time to time.
And believe me most of the characters are memorable. There are a few "romantic" scenes so this game is M rated. Just so you know.
It's just that you don't have party members like Dragon Age.
Yes I've played KoA and i felt disappointed in the end. Characters felt shallow.
And here's a gameplay trailer if anyone is interested:

That sounds like a game that I could play because I find that party members do get in the way some times and it is good to have a game that it is just you playing. I have found that if you play in a party then you tend to rely on them more then you should during a fight or whatever is happening.
