Well yes, consoles are actually a standardized PC with limited functions made only for gaming. But in a year or so PC is gonna overtake the consoles again and we are back to the same old story where producers just port the games to PC... Which sucks. Just think of it this way. Imagine if Mass Effect was made for PC only, graphics could have been way better, you could have more enemies and even more allies at the same time on a map, hundreds. Think about how could could have been if they did that. But consoles couldn't have handled that so they made it the way they did.

Well that's simply because A console is a one time buy, and then you upgrade every 5-10 years. PCs are outdated within 6 months.

Ditto, but my problem is that my computer isn't really a gaming PC (it is a laptop afterall, and the graphics card isn't that great) and therefore a significant amount of games either don't run properly or look rubbish on it (I suppose that's my own fault though). Not to mention the complete faff that was trying to get KOTOR to run on Windows Vista...

So I can totally understand Dangerous' point that consoles are easier to deal with. Like she said they don't upgrade often and don't go through anywhere near as many changes as regularly as PCs do. You don't have to check all the system requirements beyond which console is required.

I will upgrade my PC after next summer. Till then it is more than good for all the newest games.

I love how you guys manage to have an entire conversation off the most random topics. Anyway, my computer cord should be here by tomorrow. At least, that's what the shipping thingie said. If it's not here by then I am hunting someone down and well... let's just say they are going to have a very bad day.

I know. And using my phone is a pain. I've actually got a good bit more time on my hands today than usual though so I'm making it work.
