Has anyone heard any new news on this game like when it is coming out and for what systems yet?

Yeah and from what I have found out that it is going to be on the PC, Playstation and Xbox 360 but they have not set a release date for it yet only that it should come out later this year.

Smae here but since Disney owns Lucas Arts now maybe they will make it and release it because I read in game informer or another gaming magazine that one of the top exc. was talking about making KOTOR 3.

Oh god, that'd be amazing, I just think if Bioware and Obsidian worked together then it'd be such a great game.

I agree because they both have put out great games and if they joined forces to make KOTOR 3 then that would be EPIC!!!!!

Well Disney disbanded LucasArts a few days ago which pissed me off to no end. Seriously. I'm considering coming out of retirement to deal with them. They also laid off all LucasArts's employees which was a b**ch ass move seeing as they've never done that with any other company they've bought out before.
But yeah, all LucasArts projects were promptly cancelled. Including 1313. Though some sources do say that Disney let another company pick it up, but I doubt it. A lot of people think Disney is also just going to completely trash SW and throw away all the canon that's been established. In other words, they want to start over with SW. But that would be the stupidest move ever.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

They can try, but I doubt the fans will accept it. There is too much material published already for them to retcon it in any acceptable way. Heck, there are fans who don't accept The Force Unleashed as being canon, so Disney will have a time if they try to rewrite 30 years worth of books, comics, and games.

I agree with all of you but Disney knows better then just cutting out the game side of the money machine. I say they let other companies to make star wars games and set back and collect the money instead of paying others to make the games.

That won't necessarily stop them from trying. I know that Star Trek (possibly) has less published cannon (but still a substantial amount) and they decided to do away with most of that in one film. Admittedly it wasn't Disney in that case, but what's to say they won't try?

True but unlike star wars/Disney the people who make star trek movies are still making star trek games tho because a new star trek game was just released.

That is true. Though until they recently announced that Lucas Arts was being shut down with the Disney take over, I assumed that they were still making Star Wars games because I assumed that there'd always be a market for them.
But then again, if TOR was as bad as everyone says it was, I can understand why they might've reconsidered.
(I will point out that I don't know a lot about the history/current news of game releases. I was really only pointing out that they will try and rewrite/retcon etc etc anything they think they can get away with. No matter how well established.)

I agree with everything that you are saying and just because Disney shut down Lucas Arts does not mean that all Star Wars games are dead and not another will be made because other game companies can get Disney to let them make the games. Like Bioware did with KOTOR 1,2 and they did a great job with KOTOR 1 but was rushed with KOTOR 2. I am sure that since Star Wars 1313 was more then 80% complete I am sure that another company will get the chance to complete the game and it will soon be released.
