PRINCE OF THE LIGHT SIDE- Nice "Don't Tread on Me" Gadsen flag. I Saw a veteran wearing that hat at a steakhouse the other day. It was the first flag carried into battle by the U.S. marine core during the Revolutionary war.

I believe you are wrong on the one because during the revolutionary war we hardly had a army at that time and the US did not have marines untill world war 1 I believe.

Actually I didn't misread. The US Marine Corps was created in 1775 and used primarily to guard ships during the Revolutionary War

no, Chrono's right to a certain extent. the DTOM flag was around during colonial times and it was basically the fudamental inspirational flag of the time besides "join or die" which also had a snake on it. not sure we flew it during battles. as far as i know, they were just flown during at the safe homelands.

I would have rather flown the flag says "Join or Die" because that sends a stronger message then "Don't tread on me".
