there are no hidden items expet for the schani fiber armour which is the best on taris and is upgradable. They are in the lower city apartments where there are holo recordings of a band and you have to select them in the right order or else you will get blown away. Other than that, there really isn't much that is good on taris exept for the light battle armour.
Do not fear death. Death is all around us. If we show fear it jumps at us faster than lighting, but, if we do not show fear, it casts it's eye upon us gently and guides us slowly into infinity.

Regardless of what many say, I found Taris to be quite entertaining. It was an outstanding beginning to the epic quest.
