Topic: The New Generation Of Jedi
So it's no secret that I'm lightside, but don't agree with the Jedi Code or conduct in many situations. The Jedi order collapsed between the KOTOR games, and was then annihilated by one of their own in the new movies; and even here we've seen the self proclaimed Prince of the Lightside fall into corruption. We need a new Jedi Code. Enough already with the stupid "there is no emotion, there is peace" line. It doesn't give us what we need to withstand the attacks of the darkside.
Therefore, here is the Code for the New Generation of Jedi.
~~The true Jedi must fight ignorance with wisdom, greed with compassion, pride with humility, and lust with selflessness, and hate with love.
~~A Jedi must not be guided by emotions, but by the truth.
~~A Jedi must always act selflessly; his only fear must be for the lives of those he protects, and his only hate is the evil of those who seek to destroy those lives.
~~A Jedi must recognize that the force is a gift, not an end; he should therefore not seek more power, but use what power he has to help those that he is able.
~~The true Jedi seeks to heal the wounded, free the captive, and restore the fallen.
~~In this way, we will bring hope and healing through the light.
