ok, couldn't really find a good thread to post this on, so i'll stick it here on a political one.
i just found out that my state is considering imposing a odometer tax of 0.5 cents per mile. mileage will be added up when anyone takes their car in for an annual inspection. Dude, that's a freakin lot of money over a year of travel!!!!!! gah, i hope that bill gets sent to the dog house! :angry:

$1.88 here. we have one of the highest gasoline tax rates in the nation at 29.95 cents per gallon in addition to the fed tax.

the lowest i ever remember was somewhere around 80 odd cents a gallon. that was when we visited our grandparents and had to go through southern Georgia. I think they had like a 7 cent tax at that time
