When my x-box starting to mess up my friend fixed it but you can send it to Microsoft or atleast give them a call and find out if they can fix it or they can give you more info on who can fix it in your area.

Their are 2 more ways that I thought of and the first one is that you can check out pawn shops to buy you a used x-box. The second is you can go or call t.v. repair shops and see if they fix game systems. I got my PS2 fixed at a t.v. repair shop and it cost me around $25.00 and I have not had any trouble out of it since. Well I hope you find a way to fix your x-box and I hope that I have helped you in some way. 

Well just try to find a t.v. repair place and see if they work on game systems.

Then you should pay out the money to Microsoft and let them fix it.

You said that it is a halo special edition, Then I would get them to fix it because if they mess something else up on it then they will have to pay for it or replace it.

I would send it to them but I would find out if they mess it up more then I get a new x-box or the money that I paid for the x-box when it was new and a refund on what I paid them to try to fix it.
