I like to start the game useing a sword then when go to a lightsaber. I like to have atleast 1 person in my party that is with my on every planet that has a blaster because they will come in handy.

As a main charecter, i have always chosen the sword.
Maybe trying the pistol isnt a bad idea, i mean it is harder to get the guns weapons proficiencies, than it is getting a melee weapon
