Well I like to play as a guardian or sentinel with heavy armour which restricts a lot of the cool powers like force lightning. So... my favorite are force wave and insanity.

Ah, yes that makes sense. I just wish they'd cut it out of the guide book too!

How did Canderous become Mandalore?
The guide book states that if your character is a darkside woman you can get Mandalore (Canderous) to tell you how he got the position. I now there is a hint when you bring Mandalore to confront the mandalorian mercenaries on Dantooine.
The head mandalorian mercenary states "I'll not let a usurper claim to be my leader."
I've had a couple of darkside woman players but none has gotten enough 'influence' with Mandalore for him to spill the beans about his past.
Dose anyone know how Canderous became Mandalore?

Re: Why Did The Diciple Speak With Carth If Ur On The (174 replies, posted in Knights of the Old Republic II)
Back to the original question about the disciple and Carth:
A bigger mystery: Regardless of wether you are darkside or lightside in KOTOR2
the real issue is what did you say to Aton at the beginning? When speaking to Aton about Revan did you say that Revan was a savior of the republic or that he defeated Malak and reunited the Sith. If you said Revan was a savior of the Republic that means Revan was light side and Carth returned with him on the Ebon Hawk and left the unknown world together. If you stated that Revan had reunited the Sith that means he was darkside and therefor Carth was stranded on the unknown world. This is apparent as soon as you leave Telos station on the shuttle to the restoration zone (where you meet Baodour). After escaping, Luetenant Gren talks to a representative of the republic. If Revan was lightside the representative is "Admiral" Carth Onasi. If Revan was darkside i's someone else. Regardless of who this representative is when the Disciple reports that "I have found the exile",
it is Carth Onasi he speaks. If Revan was darkside how did Carth get off the unknown world? The Sith would have destroyed all the republic fleetin the Star Forge system.

Re: Telos New Fuel Source (3 replies, posted in Knights of the Old Republic II)
Well, then it is as I suspected. As a programmer who has worked for software companies, I know that there are just some bugs, or as the big wigs like to say - "issues", in the code which it's decided it's just not worth the expense to fix.
Another possiblity is that those that created the guide book were ahead of schedule with the coders which is not uncommon. How many times has a guide book come out ahead of a software release on a new game. (I'm guessing one reason is a teaser to evoke more sales.) I know there are many inaccuracies in the guide book.
Anyways thanks,
now I'll no longer feel frustated trying to resolve this.

Re: Is It Possible To Go Neutral To The End? (47 replies, posted in Knights of the Old Republic II)
I'm not sure because I've never returned to Dantooine neutral, however I do have some thoughts. I did go there once (two years ago, my memory is a little foggy) and may character was just slightly on the dark side. Kreya would not allow me to go into the secret cave on Korriban because I was not dark enough. I do not remember if I received Force Crush, but I do remember Kreya yelling at my character and saying: " And what do you think you've accomplished."
Another point: if you can't finish neutral why would the game have the item - Jolie Bindos robe - which is restricted to neutral players.

Topic: Telos New Fuel Source (3 replies, posted in Knights of the Old Republic II)
I have played KOTOR2 about 40 times. Mostly light side, a couple times dark side.
I have gotten Vogga the Hut to agree to send fuel to Telos several times in different play throughs with different characters. This mission comes up as completed, stating:"Telos now has a new fuel source!" Every time I follow the guide book and emediately fly to Telos to tell Gren of Vogga's agreement to start sending new fuel it fails. There is no option in dialogue with Gren to state "Vogga has agreed to send fuel to Telos." After defeating Atris and returning to Telos Gren is still moaning about no fuel source.
Is there a resolution to this problem or is it as I suspect a conceptual bug in the programming. In otherwords, the programmers just forgot to add this subroutine in the original programming and due to deadlines decided to just leave it out of the game.
Any help is appreciated.
