Its Greek for praise. I think it was said a few times in some movies, so that's where I heard it. I can't actually speak Greek. At times English can be a bother what with all the accents.

666 Is just superstition. I think a dumb person tried to put in 999 (which is the emergency number in the uk) and instead typed the number which was upside down. To try and hide his stupid mistake he said it was a scary number that he put in to scare people.
