1 thing to keep in mind is sith don't take prisoners
Sith don't take prisoners. They take apprentices. Say before Trask died he turned to the dark side (as most people see it) and comes back later to hunt down redeemed Revan. Revan then turns Trask back again to the light (as seen in some other person's fanfic).
i'm gonna go along the lines of a force link or whatever like in kotor 2 with u and kreia except it is opposite

Yeah... free mode. Going around from planet to planet. Just helping out anyone you see who needs help.
And maybe small objectives. Like in True Crime NY. You have your objectives but on some missions you can chill, drive around listen to your police scanner, see if there's any action and you can respond if you want too.
Something like that after the SF in KotOR. I don't know if it would work in II.
