well, like i said it's not a theology forum so i won't get into a debate or anything. Christianity can be tough for some people to grasp. The Bible says "we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength" (I Corinthians 1:23-25). I will say that I have studied a lot of religions and worldviews, fairly in depth too, and Christianity is a very rational and reasonable religion, although some scientists and people of other persuasions may say otherwise.

well, dude, if that's been your church experience I'm sorry for you. We aren't supposed to turn this forum into a theological discussion, but I will say that Christianity is about a lot more than a man in a suit asking people for money. and I can say that because I've been in church all my life and i know what i'm talking about. It's not about God needing money. Christianity is about God loving His creation, even though mankind has been stupid, defiant, and rebellious towards him. He loved it so much that rather than letting us all go to hell He let His Son be beaten and killed in our place. Christianity is about realizing this, and falling on my face before God and asking for His forgiveness and acknowledging Him as my Lord.
