I'm a norm-nerd where I don't look or act nerdy, but I know a lot of nerdy things.
I used to wear glasses which for some reason just made me look nerdy even though they weren't nerdy glasses. To go with it, I bought a T-shirt that says "No, I will not fix your computer"
Just to add to that, I am not a geek, though I do go back and forth with Star Wars 
yea we save our brains for the important stuff like fast cars good food and hot girls B)

They're all good, it's just I like Aikido.
I have a friend who learns capioerera (don't ask) and it's the Brazillian martial art. They do this little dance before they fight lol.
I have argued with him many times because he somehow thinks that in a fight it is better to do a little dance before starting rather than Aikido which all they do is push the guy and he's beaten up!

they both say it was a total waste of time and hasn't helped their life in any way.

I did fencing for a short while.
If you want to learn a martial art, do Aikido! Aikido is the best!
