You can't do that. You either have a melee or you have a ranged. The game doesn't let you have both.

Hey dude, I just rigged up my laptop to go DS. (Duel Screen) It is great for playing 'Mech Warrior 2.' It is the same thing on each screen, but it still helps a lot. It lets me look at the screen when hunting for a key on the keyboard.
